All about Homeopathy by Rubina Ratnakar

The number of diseases in the world is increasing day by day. There are many ways to cure them and there are some really effective methods that everyone may not be familiar with. One field that is a famous one but still may be unknown for many is homeopathy. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar tells all about homeopathy to the people who are not familiar with this practice.

Homeopathy is a different system of medicine used to treat almost every disease these days. It was developed in 1796 by a German physician. This method is an alternative to all the medicines we take these days. Some people even call it a pseudoscientific method which means that it replicates the mechanism of the scientific method but in reality, it isn’t similar.

Everyone would have heard about the saying ‘like cures like’. This is like the basic principle of homeopathic medicine. The substance that is causing the symptoms of the diseases is repeatedly diluted so that it can help in curing the main cause of the disease.

Homeopathic medicine is prepared by many steps involving dilution and shaking. The final medicine can be taken orally and some of them are found to be better than the tablets or capsules we take.

If you have ever visited a homeopathic doctor, you would have seen him put the liquid medicine into small white balls and shake them. Well, liquid medicine is the prepared medicine for a particular disease and those small white pills are generally made from sugars like lactose. They are mostly made from some inactive substance so that they don’t react with something and lose their medicinal properties.

Well, some people don’t believe in these medicines due to the lack of any scientific evidence of their effectiveness towards the disease. Somehow, many people prefer these medicines since they don’t have many side effects.
