First of all, you need to understand which nutrients you need the most in this problem so that you can choose your foods wisely.

Iodine is the most essential nutrient required to make thyroid hormones. If you are detected with a deficiency of iodine, eat foods like fish, dairy, seaweed, and eggs. You should also try adapting iodized salt to your food. You definitely don’t need to take supplements for this nutrient, just go for a healthy diet.

Selenium is another nutrient required by your body. So, try to look for foods rich in selenium. Some of the examples are eggs, legumes, and brazil nuts.

Zinc can help in activating thyroid hormones in your body. It has been shown to improve the TSH levels in your body. You can see a lot of zinc-rich foods to add to your diet.

On the other hand, there are some nutrients that are harmful to you. You should take care of your diet and cut them off. Goitrogen-rich foods should be avoided if you are experiencing hypothyroidism. Some common foods containing this nutrient are tofu, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, sweet potatoes, peaches, strawberries, peanuts, and many more.
